Does anyone hate wellbutrin as much as me? It makes me cry nonstop; zombie-like, and tired to the point where I was in bed for weeks until I disregarded my pdoc's advice to "hang in there" after six weeks. That happened 6 yrs ago. I was stupid enough to try it again with a new dr when I again complained of chronic fatigue; same results: crying, ears ringing etc. I had been on Provigil 50-100 mgs but it seemed to lose its effectiveness after I stopped 1 year of Lupron shots. So, dr. let me try 10 mg Ritalin twice a day. NOW I know what people mean when they say Provigil is smooth! Ritalin comes on so strong and I get the same crying; anxiety? when it starts to wear off. It enables me to get out of bed for a while not enough to put up with the side effects. So, I just read on this site that Wellbutrin is more similar to Ritalin than to SSRIS. (It also causes ear pressure when I stop taking it-first day of ritaling:ear pressure). So any thougthts? I have been in bed for over 3 months and feeling hopeless..again.. This chronic fatigue, depression(?) happened once before when I stopped Lupron shots. So I know the Lupron screwed up my thyroid or pituitary but I don't know how. I was FINE while on the shots. Already tried effexor, prozav, lexapro, currently take remeron but after months of using it I don't feel any different. I thought I was low dopamine depression...I hope someone has a brain that is thinking clearer than mine and can offer some suggestions. I feel like Howard Hughes without all the money!(living in my bed)

What's Lupron?
You might find that Provigil will work again after a break. Also, Ritalin is one jagged little pill in my experience. You might find the longer-acting Concerta better, or better still Dexedrine or Adderall XR.

Thanks for your reply. I have found many of your posts to be quite helpful. JAGGED is a great way to describe Ritalin. For 25 years I had severe menstural migraines- no medicines helped and I waited for Imitrex to be approved. I tried Prozac and all the other ADs for Migraine Treatment; never had depression. I finally conceded to Lupron shots. They are GnHr agonists. Originally developed to treat protrates cancer. In my case, they were used to stop my period and produce menopausal levels of estrogen and progesterone. Lupron acts on the pituitary. The monthly shots gave me my life back. I took them for 6 mos; migraines back so dr okayed 2 yr therapy and I have never been the same. No migraines but no energy; EXTREME fatigue. They always diagnosed me with depression becuz of the fatigue but when I went back on the shots last year I was FINE. Then I slowly spiraled into a fatigue that has kept me in bed for over 3 mos. Some women report getting fibromyalgia and joint pain after lupron; even Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. So, I am "lucky" in that I don't have pain just fatigue. I started thyroid med. Armour but haven't noticed any results yet. (I bet you're sorry you asked about Lupron)-Trying to find what lupron does to thyroid -Dr is wonderful but calls me a "Mystery"

Have you ever tried clomipramine to prevent migraines?
