I am nervous to start taking Remeron because of the side effects I
experienced with Effexor (especially nausea and stomach pain - never
felt worse). Is nausea a problem with Remeron? Any advice out there?

Remeron is supposed to be much easier on your GI tract than Effexor. In fact, people take Remeron to counteract Effexor- and SSRI-induced nausea.

>Yeppers. When I was on 150mg of Effexor I was barely able to brush my teeth the nausea was so bad. I got my doc to give me Remeron for sleep & it totally eliminated the nausea. I am now on 300mg of Effexor + 30mg of Remeron per day with hardly no side effects.

I've been on Rem. for about a year with no side effects besides being sedated all the time. I had nausea while on paxil, but not the Remeron...Be prepared to be hungry at all hours of the day..
Good luck
Peace
