I've never considered myself a very anxious person.
I am sitting in my house safe and warm, theres nothing imedeat to worry about.
So why the hell am I shivering, with my heart pounding in my chest?Part of the problem I know is GHB withdrawals. I poured what I had left down the sink.
Please don't lecture me on the harms of GHB, I know first hand!
I origonally took it for social anxiety.I'm considering going to a GP tommorow, but since I'm in the UK I don't know if they'll be very helpful.
Any advice much apreciated, your all I have

I'd say if you aren't usually an "anxious" person, then try not to worry about the anxiety you are facing. Were you "addicted" to GHB? If so, I'd say go to your GP and see if there is a way to help you come down. If you aren't addicted then it's something to look into with your GP as well. I'm from USA, so I don't know how the system works in UK. But, I'd attribute the anxiety to withdrawl. I'm sure the GP has an idea on how to make the anxiety stop. And maybe you could look into getting something for Social Anxiety as well. Kill 2 birds with one stone.
I'm proud of you for flushing the GHB. That's a step in the right direction... Go to the GP and see what can help you... I've never taken GHB, so I don't know the side effects very well.

Thank you so much for your kind words!
I am actually feeling a little better now, I think Im through the worst of withdrawals.
I have thought of going to my GP, the reason why I'm a bit reluctant to is that I have ADD.
I'm worried that if they find out about my GHB 'abuse' then I will have no chance of getting stimulants prescribed.Bereing in mind that this is the UK were it almost impossible to get stimulents prescribed even if you do have an ADD diagnosis.
In the short term I need to find something to treat my social anxiety and general 'nerves'.
I've got a prescription for Moclobemide, don't know if that will help, I'm not optomistic. For Donna, you said you wanted to know something about GHB. Essentially its a short acting chemical. It is a sedative and a euphoriant.
Mainly used for drug addiction and narcolepsy.

It sounds to me like you may be making a decision based on fear. If and when you could maybe perhaps possibly be prescribed a stimulant for ADD is not the point.
I have anxiety and ADD as well as depression. It sucks. I abused illegal substances for years. I know how you feel.
All I want to get across is that you don't even know if you could get a stimulant prescribed. Besides that- stimulants would most likely aggrevate your anxiety symptoms.
Hope that I helped. Good luck in the UK. I wish you well from the USA.

I forgot to add that my anxiety includes social anxiety.
