The non-drowsy decongestants will make you hyper. But the regular ones shouldn't be too bad.
Make sure you are not getting an ear infection.
Take care.

Claritin D is very helpful for me, and causes absolutely no anxiety what-so-ever. I am an anxious person, so I too was nervous about taking anything that might make it worse, but I had no problems taking Claritin D, in fact I take it whenever I can't sleep because of a plugged nose.

Dristan has a non non-drowsy formula. I don't think it will just be a decongestant ... it might says for colds and flu. I'm not sure. I live in Canada and the labeling is a little different.

I am in Canada and I can get it OTC - Over the Counter, No prescription needed. I believe you can get it in the states without a prescription. You probably will find it by the cold medications. Before you make a trip to the Drug Store, just phone them and ask.
Good luck, and I hope it works as well for you as it does for me. Let me know how it goes, I'll be thinking about you.
