Hey I was wondering why paxil works so well. I've tried all other ssri's and it seems to work best for ocd, social anxiety. zoloft and prozac di absolutely nothing. celexa and laxeapro are in the middle. is there a reason for that? i'm wondering what other drugs worked well for people who have taken paxil and found it the only thing that worked well?
thanks
jc

Paxil, although formally an SSRI, has some affinity for the norepineprine transporter system. Meaning, it dose have appreciable afffinity for the norepineprine system, which contributes to its efficacy in social phobia.
