I am looking for a novel anti-depressant, amineptine, also known as survector. It was taken off the market a few years ago due to rare blood disorders. I am wondering if anyone has had experience with this medication, and has any sources for obtaining it. If there are enough people interested I and still no viable source I might consider hiring an independant lab to synthesize it. If anybody has any comments or suggestions please let me know. Thanx

There is a source on that site, as well as other information. It is not cheap by any means, and I do not endorse that source.
If you have the means to synthesize it, you'll get lots of sales, but the FDA will prosecute you unless you sell it as a "research chemical".

I have no means to synthesize it, nor would I want to. And as with all chemicals DO NOT take them unless you have a valid MD's RX and have discussed side effects and risks etc. As for synthesis, it would be only as a research chemical. I am NOT advocating anyone taking this chemical internally.

I, too, would like to try Survector. I thought it was taken off the market because it made people feel better. I hadn't heard of a rare blood disorder. Can you tell me more about that?
Here is a link to some info about amineptine: xxx There is one link near the bottom of this page that I've found particularly informative about the medication. However, I see nothing about rare blood disorders.

Sorry, I didn't know that one couldn't import a non-FDA-approved drug; I thought that only controlled medications were illegal to import (without a prescription).

You *can* legally import non-FDA-approved drugs, but you just can't talk about it here.MB

Sorry all for causing suck a ruckus.
I am new here and did not realize the implications of my words.
Le me reiterate. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES do I approve of, condone, or encourage the use, production of, distribution of or importation of ANY chemical, drug or substance that is not specifically prescribed (using safe, standard, medical procedures) to you via a U.S. liscensed physician, FDA approved and obtained through a U.S. liscenced pharmacy.
