Lamictal and Abilify

I have been on an increasing dose of Lamictal for about 6 months. It has helped immensely with my bipolar depression but not with the mania and paranoia, anxiety, etc. My Dr. wanted to put me on lithium but I refused. I have had weight issues and eating disorders... I'm not going down a weight gain road. So he's added Abilify to my Lamictal. Anyone have experience with this combo? Are there large incidents of weight gain?

Hi.

I've been taking Lamictal with Abilify for almost a year now. There have been no negative interactions, and I have not gained any weight.

Thanks for the response, Scott. I'm glad to hear that the weight gain side effect may not be a problem. I've done a bit more research today that have allayed some of my original fears. Do you find that the Abilify helps with some of your manicness? My pdoc is putting me on it to curb anxiety, paranoia and "terrors"
