Ace,
It's my mainstay med. I take 3000 mg/day. I used to take 3600, but word finding was tough. I t helps tremendously formy anxiety, some on my derealization, and real well for ruminating thoughts.My side effects are some slight muscle stiffness (not tension) and maybe a little poorer memory.
It doesn't really make me tired like others say it does for them.

i only take 900 a day, was up to 1800..
when i decreased it 30% i went down hill fast..
i use it as a ms..with 1200 mannerix and synthroid.
i havent felt "dangerously manic" since taking it 8 months ago..
