I beginning to think it is futile to ask others about whether a med or a combo will work since everybody's problems are different and responds differently.
However, i started a new dose regim today, 100mg clomipramine+50mg sertraline against depression and SP(part. depression). My question is, since i'm new to sertraline, can it somehow oppose the sexual s/e from clomipramine(because of its weak dop. effect), or will it be the same or will the s/e get worse. Thanks for your time.

I'd say your side effects would get worse, but why don't you just up the clomipramine to 300 mg/day or the sertraline to whatever it takes?

I don't know about the combo effects but may ask you if a p-doc suggested it ? It sounds strange add two serotoninergic meds. If you have SP + depression why not just zoloft ? Just asking anyway, I'm not that expert

Yes it was my pdoc that suggested it. It sounded strange to me too. But i'm at moderate dosages on both meds, 100mg Clomipramine and 50mg sertraline. He also told me that neither he nor his colleagues have yet treated a patient that has suffered from ser. syndrome. It's obviously not so common.
