Effexor sucks! If you're taking it, ask your Dr. to prescribe something else. It is very difficult to wean off of and takes a long time. It took me nearly 6 months-- honest!
Does anyone know anything about Lexapro? I haven't taken it yet as I'm getting paranoid about SSRI's but am feeling very depressed.

Side-effects have diminished to the point where they are no longer a problem. I've been on it for about a month now. I'm considering increasing to 15mg, but I want to get everything I can out of 10mg first. I started drinking green tea which has helped with the fatigue, and I take the supplement acetyl-l-carnitine. I'm also involved with an intensive CBT program for social anxiety disorder. Lexapro is the best SSRI I have ever been on, all things considered.

This is strange...I was put on Effexor xr....I TOOK MYSELF OFF! I am now on Lexapro..havent been on it very long but it is BETTER THAN EFFEXOR...that crap should be taken off the market PEROID!

I am currently being transitioned from Effexor to Lexapro. I was on 300mg Effexor. I am now on 112.5mg Effexor and 20 mg Lexapro (had to go slowly - withdrawls). I have NEVER had such fast, positive results with an SSRI. Let us know how you are doing.
