I've been on Zoloft for four weeks and my Doc's moved me from 50mg to 100mg.
He stated I might want to go to 75mg (by taking a 50mg and a half) for a week and then hit 100mg in order to ease into the higher dose. He said I didn't have to but it might be easier on me.
Does that make sense or can I just jump right from 50 to 100?
Has anyone else gone from the starter pack (50mg) right to 100?

Yes I used to take Zolft and went straight from 50 mgs to 100,but ended up going back down to 50..That was a low dose but seemed to work best (for me).Your Dr prob just suggested you going from 50 to 75 mgs to lessen the chance of side effects and to make the transition a little easier for you.As for myself Zoloft worked really well for me and I had no problems while taking it...Good Luck and take care :)

I did the starter pack. Had horrible headaches the first week. By then end of the third and last week of the starter pack my headaches were pretty much gone. My Dr and I deceided to write a script for 100mg Zoloft. He said I could do the 75mg thing for a while if I was afraid of sideeffects coming back. I went ahead and just took the 100mg. I'm two weeks into it and no significant headaches or other sideeffects.
