Why?
1) it is DAMN effective dopaminergic
2) it is not so expensive
3) it can be imported from Italy - not so hard way
4) it has no side effects (except small % of women reported cardio problems). At 25-50mg doses it doesn't cause tardive dyskinesia.
5) it works on DOPAMINE, not serotonin like most drugs. Dopamine is a forgotten hormone when it comes to depression and anti-depressants, so Amisulpride is rare ;-)
6) can't think of anything else now.. but USE IT GUYS! ;-)Take care,
Brad

Just bring all the studies done on amisulpride from pubmed and show it to him. That's what I did and if I hadn't done it - he would never prescribe it to me.
As far as ordering it - there is an Italian pharmacy (I won't post the website because of DrBob's rules) which ships it very fast and the cost is fair.

At fifty Milligrams didn't feel a thing, except slight sexual disfunction.
Still lots of people seem to react well.....

> So its not the perfect drug for everyone *s*I can understand that it might not work for everyone. But I think it's WAY UNDER-PRESCRIBED in USA. There are not many purely dopaminergic drugs and Amisulpride is one of them - so for everyone who doesn't want to mess with their serotonin (Prozac etc.) or GABA (benzodiazepines Klonopin/Xanax) - go for Amisulpride, it's great anti-anxiolytic by the way.

> How do you know?
Because I know everything. Just Kidding! No, but from 90% of anectodes and also every clinical trial I've seen (I've seen quite a few, but more anecdotes) it seems to work. Around 25 out of 25 anectodes I have seem to voice the benefitis of Amisulpride. Every one of the around 7 clinical trials seem to state it works well.
Of course this could be wrong. But I think from the press I've seen it justifies my comment.

> How does amisulpride compare with sulpiride when used to treat depression? No experience with Sulpride, but, Ami, comes out on top (by not a great margin) from my research. Sulpride seems a good drug but.
