Hi-I'm writing from my hospital room. I'm doing a clinical trial for Depakote ER. Has anyone here taken that? How long did it take before you feel any effects? I'm wondering if maybe I got the placebo cause I feel no different.

I have just started Depakote as well, about 2 weeks, and I have felt a bit more stable and in control. I am also on Effexor XR and Buspar. I dont really have much to tell you about the Depakote yet but I wanted to let you know I'm started it as well, We can share our thoughts on it when they come up. did you feel any side effects right away? it's been 6 hours, and i do feel a little sleepy but i cant tell if its the depakote

I have been having a very hard time waking up in the morning, I didnt take it last night for that reason. I woke up fine. Im in college and have classes to get to in the morning so that makes it really difficult for me. Im not sure if I'm doing the right thing or not. My doc told me to take it before bed, do you know if can take it in the morning instead? I will ask him tomorrow I guess. Let me know what you think. Lori

he prolly has you taking it at night because it makes you sleepy. I would try taking it a few hours earlier.
