No Sensation/Pleasure Anorgasmia

Posted by rodzer on November 12, 2003, at 0:38:24

Hello,

I am a male at 36 years of age and single.

From Dec/2000 to May 2003 I was suffering from "psych..." illness like Phobhia, Anxiety and Depression. I was given medication using the drugs
QUETIPIN, LITHIUM AND OLANZAPINE during the period Dec/2000 to Jan/2003. By January I started recovering and had only sleeping problems. For that period, Jan/2003 to May 2003, I was given LORAZEPAM 2milligram one at Night. By May/2003 I have totally recovered and stopped medication altogether. Please note the last drug I have taken was LORAZEPAM.

Then a new sexual problem developed. Problem is like this:-

No erection on seeing or fantisizing sexy stuff. However there is firm and rigid erection on giving physical stimulus like massaging. Though the erection is firm/rigid it does not sutain if i stop giving the physical stiumus. Ejaculation on masterbation. No PLEASURE or SENSATION during masterbation and NO ORGASM during ejaculation. The volume of semen is also very low.

I went to an urologist and he said everthing is normal. I went to androlgist and had undergone through investigation such as rigiscan, harmone test etc. They said all normal.

For erection on visual, they had given sildenafil
and asked me to see the visual video. There I got erection on seeing the video itself.

Finally they said erecion and ejaculation is fine and they can not help much in Anorgasmia and pleasure.

Then,I am getting treatment from the same psychiatrist() who has treated me for my phobia and depression. He has prescribed organic vitamin E and sildenafil for PLEASURE and ANORGASMIA and it of no effect. Currently for the last 3 weeks I am on Trazodone Hydrochloride. This medicine has enhanced my ability to get erecion on seeing visuals or on fantasizing sexual stuff on more occasions, have done NO EFFECT on the improvement of ORGASM and PLEASURE/SENSATION.

Though it is not confirmed, the last medicine I have taken was LORAZEPAM and probably it must be the cause of all problems. Maybe even QUIETAPIN/LITHIUM/OLANZAPINE also have some role to play in the Anorgasmia and lack of pleasure.low sexual drive etc....

Can some one helping me to provide the possible medications provided for Anorgasmia/No Sensation/Pleasure which might have been induced through psych... medications.

Is the problem completely curable ?
How much time it takes it to cure?

Please provide all medications/dosages that could be helpful in this case.

Please provide all medications given for anorgasmia which might been caused by an unknown reason....

Please provide as much info as possible that I would discuss with my doctor for my spedy recovery.

Please help me....

Thanks In Advance,
rodzer

I'm very sorry and know exactly how you feel. I had a similar problem after a year on Depo Provera (birth control shot). It has taken me over two years to regain my lust (for lack of a better term). I'm not really sure what will help, except time. What I did was fantasize and masturbate every night despite my lack of real interest and slowly I felt more and more. I'm still prob only at 30% of what I was before depo. I know how frustrated you feel. It really messed up my relationship...he couldn't understand that it wasn't him, it was me. I hope things work out for you. I have never read anything regarding lorezapam and anorgasma, but I'm gonna go search the APA journal archives about it. If I find anything I let you know. Take care.

Try L-Tyrosine 500mg - 1500mg per day (check first to make sure it doesn't clash with any medication or other illnesses you might have). Give it 2 weeks or so to kick in. For some reason this really did increase my pleasure - I don't know why. Maybe it will help you. Good luck.
