I've been taking 40mg Lexapro for about 8 months and I believe I'm experiencing this SSRI poop-out thing. Prior to the Lexapro I'd been taking Zoloft for around 6 months. This was all for post-partum depression. I switched to the Lexapro due to the insomnia I experienced while on Zoloft. The Lexapro was working great until maybe about a month or two ago. One day I'll feel like I did before being on the medication; frustrated, short-tempered, sad and a little paranoid. The next day I'll wake up in the morning and feel relaxed, happy and full of energy. There's nothing new or unusual happening in my life — maybe I just need a vacation. But I'm fairly sure that my mood is being affected by my medication — it's so irratic. I hate dealing with my meds. My insurance sucks and in addition there's all the symptoms of adjusting. Does this happen to everyone on SSRI's eventually?
This is the end of the thread.
