The WBxl is doing its job giving me motivation and lifting my mood, problem: im having difficulty with spaceyness, soooo I thought add an ADD type med, a mild one, Ive been around the dance floor with adderall, i dont think thats the one.
What do you think?
My GP says he cant prescribe WB AND Strattera!
And he doesnt think the next pdoc I find will either. I told I would try to find documentation.
I thought it had been mentioned here before.

From www.johnswank.com:
3. The only 2 psychotropic drugs to worry about taking with Strattera are Prozac and Paxil (Well, and the MAO inhibitors which are extremely rarely used). Use smaller doses when using along side them.
4. There is no problem using Strattera along side the psychostimulants such as Ritalin, Concerta, Metadate or Adderall.
Wellbutrin's maker did not mention any adverse reaction to atomoxetine (Strattera). The doctor must have no familiarity with it and no desire to learn either.
Good luck in your search for another pdoc,

Would you be willing to help me with some POSTIVE information about WellbutrinXL? I don't really want to post a general post and get the nasty stories (they're out there for all the meds, I know). I'm trying to make a decision and you seem to be having some success. My email (never thought I would post this) is KellyD177at yahoo. If you don't want to email me, I do understand. But, I could use some "hands on" experience. Thanks.

I was on Wellbutrin for years. For straight depression, it's a wonderful, mainly side-effect-free drug.
You aren't supposed to use Wellbutrin is you have a history of anorexia, bulimia, or alcoholism because your convulsion threshhold is lowered (charming huh?).
Beyond that, Wellbutrin is gradual. Have patience, wait a few weeks, and your mood should lift. 5 lbs of weight loss is common on it. It's definately worth an honest chance.
I quit because it wasn't helping me on anxiety, and I have too much of that.

Wellbutrin can have positive effects on ADD/ADHD and I could still "O". Oh woe to me, for now the "O" I no longer have thanks to Effexor.

I take Wellbutrin SR 450/day and Strattera 80mgm/day and it works wonderfully; both for my depression and my ADD. Mama B

I'm hogging femlite's post here. I had a meltdown on Social last night. I bit the bullet today and began the W-XL. I'm dealing with depression. I do have anxiety issues and I know Wellbitrin is not usually the med of choice. I continue my Klonopin while on this trial and I hope that will counteract some of the "spin up" chemical. It hepls so to hear some positive stuff. I wasn't going to post a post as I just can't hear the horror stories right now. femlite was so nice and did contact me by Email, so sweet. K - I'm sorry about your "O", I've been through that due to non med reasons, ain't no way fun. Mama B, you keep on doing good. I'm trying, t

I've used Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Strattera, Ritalin and Adderall. The only one I'd sing praises for is Wellbutrin. It's been two years and I only got a good affect for one day, but I was so happy to get a great response and help for Add/inattentive. Then, I had a second breakout of hives and had to quit. I've been mourning its loss since. There's no competitor for it.
It took three weeks to kick in. I had a little problem sleeping the first few nights and I had a dry throat that first week too. I think you can feel optimistic about trying it to see if it does the right thing. I hope it's great for you.
