i am now experiencing what i have read to be called 'brain shocks' after completly quiting effexor after a 6 week tappering process. while i realize i'm probably just going to have to get through it, what i'm really concerned about is driving while experiencing these symptoms. has anyone ever passed out after quiting effexor? is it safe to drive?

If you completely quit it cold turkey..that's no good at all. Over time slowly reducing your doses will lessen the side effects, and especially after taking it for 6 or so weeks, you really should try to ease off of it.
Too young to drive legally..[only a couple more months]..but from my experience, you should try to refrain from things like that until you're sure how you react. Some people do pass out..I've passed out a couple times..but that was only after missing a day of meds..so it just depends on the person.
Hope that helped. Have a good day.
