I am on a search for the right med now, and one option my doc mentioned is to try and up the wellbutrin dose to higher than normal amount. I am on 450 which is already pretty high and it has pooped out over the years-nothing else seems to do as great a job for me. He doesnt see so worried about the seizure risk, neither am I, really, although I know at over 600 it has been documented.
Anyone tried this?

I just started to take effexor. My doctor prescribed effexor XR, and with that, I am being weened off from Paxil. It's only been 7 days now of the lower dose...tomorrow I start with the whole dose. I don't feel too different except that I feel more like doing things. I was pretty depressed a few weeks ago sleeping ALL the time. Not so good when you're a mother of 3, going to school and going through a divorce at the same time. I felt utterly hopeless. Tell me some more of "why" you don't like the effexor. -Lil

I felt soooo sleepy all the time, and I gained 25 lbs! I felt like the drug kind of slowed my whole system down. I had 0 sex drive, I even felt like I could have lived in a monastery without my guy, that whole drive just left me. Couldnt really get there sexually, either.
I felt content, but different and disconnected

Well, it's been 8 days so far. The only thing I have noticed is that I actually have more drive. I didn't even want to get up and face the day about a week ago. I have three boys...so I can't just give up. I have had some weird feelings in my head...almost like a strange aura. Anyone else get this? I thought it may have something to do with being weened off the Paxil.

The first week on effexor feels pretty freaky but it evens out and feels more natural after a while. Sounnds like it is working well for you so far. The aura will probably subside
