Well, every lab is different so it really depends
on if they check or not. I know some do. However,
one cannot make a blanket statement here.To me, it does not matter, as someone taking
has that right. Labs do not tell the employer
what was found, just that you were dirty or clean.

If you are prescribed the medicine, simply showing the bottle w/ your name on it is sufficent for the lab, and they don't reveal that you take anything.

You see I get my ritalin from a gp. I also have a psychiatrist who dosent know I do this. Yes, I know this sounds stupid and immoral at first glampse, but the thing is my psychiatrist has me on lamictal and risperdal which do NOTHING to help me (also mirapex which I am still at to low a dose to comment). I put every little last ounce of effort into it and I am back in high school now, and this, occording to him, shows that I am much improved. Ive tried ritalin before and it worked but my psychiatrist says it is unnecessary. I cant fricken study without it!! You might say well just get another pdoc, but I live in Alberta, and just to get a second opinion takes at least 3 months! Im in school now and I need help now.
He may very well give me a drug test because he knows Ive done illecit drugs in the past and he asks me every time about that issue. It could pop up some time. Thanks for the comments st. james and utopizen:) and anybody who will help me. Thanks so much
