NEURONTIN RUINED MY LIFE

Posted by AlannaBrook on July 15, 2003, at 8:55:39

I have been on Neurontin for over five years now. It was prescribed to me specificly for "Anger". As Neurontin wormed its way into my mind over the years it has escalated my "Anger" to Uncontrollable Anger, Hostility & Rage along with psyical addiction. In addition, I HAVE to take Antihistamines to counteract the RASHES that appear in different places all over my body.

My doctor had to put me on PERMANENT DISABILITY due to my state of mind.

Even the State of California thinks that I, a 47 year old, 5ft. 3in woman, could do serious bodily harm to a co-worker, if in fact I was employed now, as I have been all my life.

When ever I complained about Neurontin to my Doctor(s), they simply dismissed these as "All In My Mind", and that "Neurontin is NOT addicting".

I can produce three other people RIGHT NOW, who will say the same thing as I do; Neurontin might not be "Mentally" addicting, but just try to stop taking it.........the symptoms make a junkie withdrawing from heroin look like childs play.

I have already initiated a Criminal Class Action Suit against this drug manufacturer, so if any one doesn't know where to go from here, you can email me with your horror stories at: mail4debbie@sbcglobal.net.

If you want to be included in this Criminal Class Action Suit, I have the RIGHT ATTORNEY FOR THE JOB. No, I am not an Attorney, nor am I soliciting business for any Attorney, I just know that the more people who come forward with their horror stories, the more it will reinforce the illegal activities of this drug manufacturer, thus increasing the settlement for each and every one of us.

Remember, email me at: mail4debbie@sbcglobal.net

PLEASE do not lose contact with me as I have contacted US Assistant Attorney, James Sheehan. He wants me to start "collecting" people who have been harmed by Neurontin.

My email is: mail4debbie@sbcglobal.net

And thank you very much, I'm sorry you aren't feeling well.

Neurontin withdrawal felt like opiate withdrawal

I've been an on and off opiate addict (hopefully I stay off) for years. My experience with comming off of high doses of Neurontin was that the withdrawal was *extremely* similar to opiate withdrawal: goosflesh, cold sweats, restlessness, anxiety, etc. The only difference was that I get insomnia when I withdraw from opiates, but I couldn't stay awake when I came off of Neurontin.

One interesting note: once when I was detoxing from morphine (very bad withdrawal), I had some Neurontin, which I took to see if it would help the detox. Amazingly, it helped quite a bit. I wonder if Neurontin works on the opiate system in some way.

Thank you. I can't wait to tell my doctor about all the emails and posted replys I have received. The One and ONLY salvation in this whole mess is that now I know that I HAVEN'T "LOST" MY MIND..........And that is PRICELESS.

The dosage I am on is 3,600 mg. daily.....which is 3 each of 400mg capsuls, 3 times daily.

I have never detoxed from Opiates, but I do know several people who went the Methadone route and some were successful, some not, more not because it was so easy to detox when they "felt" like it.

Wherein, Neurontin and the FACT that I AM PSYICALLY addicted has always produced the same response from all my doctors....."Debbie, it's all in your mind, Neurontin is NOT Addicting"...AND I'M THE CRAZY ONE????????

Obviously it was ME that finally did the research because I KNEW I WAS RIGHT AND THESE SO CALLED DOCTORS WERE WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.....I WAS NOT "IMAGINING" HOW ILL AND SICK IN MY HEAD I WAS BECOMING.

God it feels sooooooooo good to be right and to know I am NOT INSANE.........there is hope for the future.

LET's PROFIT FROM OUR PAIN

Dear Friends:

I have decided that it is time for US to "Profit From Out Pain".

If we all united and put our "horror stories" together, we could write a book, have it published, thus PROFIT FROM OUR PAIN.

After all, these so called Psychiatrists & Drug Manufacturers, have been making a HUGE PROFIT off of us for decades.

As it turns out, I am NOT "Mentally Ill" in any respect. I have just been "drugged" all my life by Doctors.........who got me addicted by the age of 17..........and I have "chased the bag" ever since.

Now that I have STOPPED any and ALL MEDICATIONS...........including "Tylenol", I am coming out of the fog.

My "Mission" has changed. I am now Hell bent to get the "word" out about how dangerous these "Mind-Altering" drugs are.

They have controlled me all my life. They have kept me down all my life. These so called Doctors are nothing short of "Legal Drug Dealers".

My entire life is RUINED by these Drugs and the Doctors that prescribed them to me, without even batting an eye.

There are too many Doctors and too many Drugs to go after each and every one of them. It is better to just VOICE MY OPINION very loud.

I will, over the next year, educate myself COMPLETELY on the subject of Psychiatrist's and Drug Companies and the whole SCAM they are running.

Then I will organize other "patients" to come forward with their "horror stories", put them together in a book, get it published, and spread the wealth among the "damaged" human beings that participate in the Book.

Some way, Some how, I will get my story out LOUD ENOUGH TO BE HEARD. And I will help others by financially compensating them for their participation.
