Well, I finally took it! After suffering for 12 years with no meds-Since the Gulf War (part 1) I have had Anxiety that eventually turned to Panic into Agoraphobia. Tonight a grabbed the bottle (of Klonopin)-for a change :) and decided to take one. I took one and was very anxious, almost to the point of a Panic Attack-but I feel awesome. Little off balence but I feel like I havent in a long long time. Maybe a placebo effect thing, because I split it in 4ths and took basically a half over 2 hours.....but whatever I feel very good. Thank you all for those that helped me overcome my pill a phobia and all those damn benzophobics and the horror stories. I would be glad to be "
dependant" to feel like this all the time again. Actually right noe I dont really give a damn-about the stuff I shouldnt! And folks thats livin again for me. Thanks all,Andy

Good for you Andy, Klonopin is a great med. Just a little reassurance - I am coming up on 2 years of Klonopin use and have not yet had to raise the dose. The same old amount does works. Occasionally I'll take more if I'm feeling more anxious than usual, but I basically take the same amount.
Don't worry about the off-balance feelings. These *will* go away with continued use.
A number of studies have indicated that continuous benzo use is much more beneficial than on an "as needed" basis.
Tolerance typically only develops to the side effects, but not the primary anti-anxiety effects, which are nothing short of miraculous, as it appears you are realizing.
It only gets better! Klonopin is as close to a "silver bullet" for anxiety as psychiatry has!
