Hello,
My name is Justin. I went to my Docter yesterday, and i asked him to switch me from Concerta ER(72mg) to Adderall because Concerta makes me feel like i have to vomit plus i think it is making me sort of moody. But, as fate would have it my Phyc. called the house to schedule an appointment with my mom and she told the Physcrit. that My docter was swithing my medications to Adderal. as of now I am taking Welburtin 100mg, Concerta 72mg, and Ambien 10mg.
I also need to say that I did take a break form all the mental health over the summer. So what do you all think I should do I dont want to take concentra any more i dont think that it is helping me very much plus it kind of makes me an asshole. So what do I need to do?????Help,
Justin in SA
ps. My birthday is on saturday

Hi Justin,
I don't quite understand what you mean... your primary care physician switched you from Concerta to Adderall, then your psychiatrist found out and switched you back? If you clarify a bit, I could offer up some advice.

P.S. Happy premature birthday! Both my sister and stepsister had a birthday yesterday.

My docter (primary care Physician)swicthed me from concerta to adderall but my physcritrist called to schedule an apt. and my aunt told her that the docter changed the meds around so the phys. told my aunt to not start me on the new meds.

Okay, that's what I thought you meant.
Can't you just explain the negative effects you're experiencing from the Concerta to your psychiatrist? I'm sure he'd put you on some sort of amphetamine (probably Adderall... maybe Dexedrine, which I think is much, much better, personally). I know that doesn't really help at the moment, since you have to wait until your next appointment, but I'm still a bit confused... is there a specific reason your psychiatrist doesn't want you on Adderall or something?

Well,
I am not really sure what the docter (Mental Health) wants to do i would rather go on the adderall but she is sort of un willing to put me on the medication i guess she thinks she knows what is best for my body but the concerta also takes away my sex drive so.... you know how that goes

>I don't understand, why don't you just try Ritalin (concerta is just an all-day ritalin) so you dose 4-6 hours, so like when you want to have intercourse, you don't dose at that part of the day.
ADD isn't like a heart condition, you can take things that only last a few hours and then not take it if you don't have a need to (like pretending you didn't need to work this summer, obviously you wouldn't be on concerta over the summer, and you probably didn't take it on the weekends, since no one ever does that anyway)
This is the end of the thread.
