Pharmacologists amongst us, is Cymbalta (assuming it ever hits the shelves) different than Effexor, or is it just something to cash in on the Effexor gravy train? In other words, is it something that has a different mode of action? I am thinking about holding out for its release, as I can "feel" and new round of depression coming on, but can wait if Cymbalta is something new. Especially, if the sexual and weight SEs are not problematic.

Millions are waiting to see if Cymbalta will be better than Effexor. The studies show better remission rates, and that's what we're all after, isn't it, remission. I have no idea if will help my condition of social anxiety, considering it lacks dopaminergic receptor affinity, but I will certainly give it a shot. Won't you?
