I have been on 400mg of Tegretol XR for about 1.5 years now, I had run out of medication for about a week and had a seziure. When at the hospitol the on duty doctor gave me 400mg of Tegretol SR. For the following three days I was feeling and acting very drugged. I continued taking my normal XR and it went away. Is this normal? Is there a difference between XR and SR?

I think there is only Tegretol XR on the market-I could be wrong and if there are both-maybe the only difference is the cost???
