Hi All,
Anyone had success boosting the effect of Lexapro by adding Wellbutrin? I've been on Lexapro (up to 40mg)for 10 weeks and am not getting consistent results. Any and all details most appreciated.
Thanks!

I would say that you need to be consistent with your dosage before adding anything. If you are going to stay at 40 mg (which is A LOT of Lexapro), stay there for 4-6 weeks before you decide to add Wellbutrin. You probably have not been getting consistent results because you have not had a consitent dose.
Wellbutrin can be used to augment most SSRI's and other ADs. It is often used to combat sexual and fatigue side effects as well.

Thanks for the response. I have been pretty consistant and have worked up gradually to higher doses but sleepiness/fatigue become problems and the therapeutic effect does not last. I am just wondering if people have had success with this particular combination when Lexapro doesn't work or poops out.
Best,
Peter

You may want to give it more than 10 weeks. Adding Wellbutrin to SSRI's (such as Lexapro) often does help alleviate side effects.
