Okay. i have been taking serzone for 2 1/2 years---350 mg. a day. Over the past 3 months I have begun to wean myself off of the drug--usually by 50 mg or 25 mg every couple weeks or so. I am now to 150mg. a day. It seems that three or four days after every weaning the glands in my neck get stiff and swollen and it hurts to swallow. Is this the "flu-like symptoms" that can occur during withdrawal or do I have mono or something??? :) i was wondering if anyone else experienced this side effect? My brain feels great, my throat feels like crap. ALSO...i have been told that once you are down to 150mg a day that the drug isn't effective and it is okay to just stop (since the starting dose is 200mg a day and you build up from there). Any advice on this? i would sure appreciate it!
