Posted by ace on July 28, 2003, at 21:41:29

Lawrence, thanks so much for your reply....You really think this is Zyprexa w/drawal? I was on it 3 weeks, getting up to 7.5mg.

I remeber you said stay away from it. Can you please tell me your experience.

I'm at uni, going out for a smoke now, will come back in to internet and write responses to all the good souls who tried to help me....there will be an update on my situation too..

Your mate,
Andrew (Ace)

PS Lawrence- you were right on with the advice about talking to my Mum!!

Ace, Sorry for the slow response. My experience with Zyprexa is a little hard to remember, but I'll try my best.

It was about a year ago when I tried it. I think what I remember feeling is some intial relief while taking the smallest dose of Zyprexa. But then I started to experience personality fade... When I went to a party after a week or two on Z. I was SO unable to formulate anything amusing to say. Social anxiety was the worst I had ever had. It was like a block on my soul. I felt like I was doing something very harmful to me. It even made me walk and talk different> like a spastic nerd. After throwing the Zyprexa away, some anxiety came back worse than ever before. Even though the Z was out of my system in a few days, it took weeks for me to be myself again.
Ace this is not a secret, but you are bursting with personality. Any kind of drug that suppressed that, not only would make you feel worse, but it would be a crime for you to take. Stay away from the AP,s, and mood stabilizers Dude. Even fish oil can be mind numbing for me! But way, way less than Zyprexa.
Your Pal, Larry

i responded well (sort of) to the dep, but was first taking is as a pre dose for lexapro....now psydoc thinks i am bp 2, although not stronlgy so

i can get into a study where i can try zprexa,if i want to, but the se scare me

i like the fish oils, but the research i know of demands kirunal brand, because of the epa/dha ratio, and takes some time

i also like lithium orotate, not as a med but as a supplement

i havn't had time to follow some of your replies/threads but just posted one myself w/ a little more info

best,

joebob

You have really given me hope Larry. I thank you so much for that bro. If it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't give up on Nardil, but what you say makes good sense.

Take care my bro,
Ace.
