the constipation issue. have you had it at 90mgs? ill get it because the zyprexa also causes constipation.
cosis you have been on Nardil for the longest at one given point. have your side effects subsided to that of an SSRI? ex..constipation, anorgasmia, etc...
im not going to eat like i did last time out. stay on my diet and get to the gym......

hey rossi had some issues with it at 90mg, I have been able to stay right now at 75mg, but i think by me adding a lot of fiber (fruits & vegetables) to my diet I am able to go normally. I don't eat any junk food period at all any more. For my sweet tooth I just eat about 3-4 yellow apples a day cut up.
Maybe U should try the Metamucil shakes or wafers to ur diet to see if it helps with consipation.....
Luckily I have been gaining any weight, even without exercising.....

> rossYou know, i don't remember ever having a problem with constipation with Nardil, but I only went up to 75mg (a couple of times) I remained at 60mg for about 3yrs, and I was also taking (off and on), Neurontin (1800mgs) topamax (200-400mgs) Inderal La (60mg)....and Zonegran (to replace the topamax)...still no constipation, or weight gain, or noticeable side-effects--except the side-effects from the increase in topamax....
....I do remember some anorgasmia and hypotension in the begining of nardil therapy, but that passed, what I do remember, was that nardil allowed me to experience a full range of emotions, inculding empathy, something that was completely lost with all other medications

good for you.
do you think that my low dose of topamax 50mgs. has any effect on gaba and anxiety? i recently came off of it but remember feeling pretty good augmenting that little of a dose. maybe if i go back to it i will not need to raise my Nardil dose to 75mgs. which works best for me but kicks in the side effects of weight gain, sexual, and constipation. but i feel so dam good at 75mgs.
but once again i never gave nardil long enough for the side effects to go away.
example my first ever A/D when i was late teens was Anafranil and i remember severe constipation. i actually shit a size of a soup can one time:) but i was on it for 2 years and i remember at 200mgs every side effect going away.
so i am at
Nardil 60mgs
klonopin 1mgs qid
neurontin 800mgs tid
zyprexa 2.5 bid---- the weight gainer
maybe il try that topamax again at the low dose and see if i get anything out of it and i can keep the nardil at 60mgs..

You may give FiberCon a try....works very well for both constipation AND diarrhea both! Drink a FULL glass of water w/ each dose!
