Alright, hopefully OKC is for Oklahoma City. I can't recommend one in OKC, but try adaa.org you might find one there. I live in Texas, so if you're willing to do the 2 hour drive I can recommend a very good one here. If you want I'll still give you her number maybe she can refer you to someone in OKC.
God Bless

Thanks! Yes, OKC is Oklahoma City (or sometimes "OAK City"). As Bobby Tripp says in *Route 66*, "Oklahoma City, gee it sure is pretty"?!?
I would love the number of the pdoc in Texas. Is that allowed on this webpage? My pdoc is nice but he doesn't seem to keep up with ADs or medications other than SSRIs.
God Bless You, too.

This doctor is a psychopharmacologist. She is an excellent listener, and very knowledgeable about meds. I hope that she will be able to also help you. Hopefully I'm not violating any PB rules in providing this information.

Thanks alot for the information. I appreciate it. We were in Dallas over the 4th and I loved it there and could picture myself living there. Tried to convince my husband to move us there, but no dice. It would certainly lift some of my depression. It reminds me somewhat of CA. But maybe I can get down there to see your doc.
Take care and God Bless.

Sort of...but I think most of the "civilian" residents call it OKC, too, because it is easier and shorter. I guess you know FAA has a large operation here.
Well, happy flying and God Bless You.

Hey Ethel,
I'm from OKC and have been being treated for panic disorder and anxiety for well over a year now. I'm also a medical student at OU, so I can make some suggestions.
The Family Medicine Center on the campus of the University of Oklahoma Health Sceiences Center (NW 10th St. and Stonewall- across from new OU Physicians Building) is a good place to start. For an appointment call (405) 271-4311. My doc is Steven Crawford. He's pretty good. If you can't get into him, Peter Schwiebert is also pretty good. You might give them a shot. If they want to refer you to a psychiatrist, give Michael Smith a shot.
This is the end of the thread.
