It's utterly stupid that none of the many hospitals here in Bangkok have Klonopin in the 1 mg. size. I am presently taking 1.875 mg. day and tapering very gradually.
I'm just trying to get a consensus on how you've gotten a "cleaner" cut: breaking the 2 mg. size (in half) with your fingers or using a pill cutter. So far, I'm not sure which way is better. Any comments on this one?

Pharmacies sell pill cutters. I had to buy a new one because I;m out of state (didn't want to travel with one on the plane) and brought it to the pharmacy desk. The pharmacist goes "wow, they makes those?"
I was stunned. What kind of pharmacist doesn't know of the existence of pill cutters??

What kind of pharmacist doesn't know of the existence of pill cutters??There are all sorts of dummies in this world, including those who are not even familiar with their own merchandise. We've also got surgeons who make little mistakes like doing appendectomies on the wrong patients or amputating the wrong leg. Hey, I can't forget psychiatrists. . . Don't they sometimes prescribe inappropriate meds for mental illness? Well, I guess nobody's perfect.

I just pop it in half with my fingers. It isn't easy but it is better than using a cutter which always makes several small pieces not two. Hold the pill between your thumb and totally bent first finger which it should rest on the nuckle and with the other hand push the pill downward with your thumb it should pop in half. Make sure the piece of the pill sticking out to be broken off is the other half from the score(line) on the pill.

I use a clean Xacto-knife - of course works the best on pills that are scored. -G
