Want to be a monk?! Take Nardil! A survey.....

Posted by ace on June 26, 2003, at 23:17:06

Hey fellow Nardil crazies....

My anorgasmia has set in again- not too upset or anything , just wanna see who has same prob and if they use anything to help their 'machinery' out!

1. Do you have anorgasmia from Nardil?

2. What dose?

3. Do you use any med for it (ie Bethenachol etc)

4. Has it ever passed of it's own accord?

Ok that's it for now. My whole body is in bliss- just one organ is crying for help! And he is very anxious for some advice to make him work again- with maximum turbo-charged velocity if possible!!!!!!!!

Be back soon my friends,

Ace, Nardil, 90mg.

I already am! O wait you mean like a friar....... » ace

You're the only person on Babble as happy as me and I'm not on anything! Would I explode in ecstacy on Nardil? O happy happy day!

Great you are feeling well Ace! SO many drugs and trials with may side-effect and junk, but finding something that *works* (even if it takes decades) is great. One word of advice...I know you have this positive attitude which is great..but also make sure you slow down, take time for some peaceful things in your day. Along with feeling good, that inner-peace I think can be a lifelong blessing.

About the sex side-effects. Ugghh..I hear ya! I am on Prozac/Clonazepam/and take Zyprexa PRN. My doc gave me a sample pack of Viagra today..but man this stuff is expensive! (5 bucks a pill Canadian!) I know of folks who take it everyday with their other psych meds and it, with some changes and such in thinking about sex and it's enjoyment, and get benefit. It doesn't increase libido, but the trick being having sex a bit more...(with or without a partner ;-)..on a regular basis. I saw some research about that, that shows regular sexual activity has positive effects on the brain, and feedsback into increased libido and such.

Anyhow..just a personal take...let me know if anything else works. :-)

Peace,
Jay

You are spot on man...exactly what my Dad says to me all the time! I am very hypo usually and I have to consciously try to start slowing down. Just meditating on life in quite silence. I know what you mean...there is a lovely tranquility in that quite. I tried to meditate and do relaxation exercises ages ago for some time. It didn't work cause I was forcing myself. It's wierd, in a way you have to find that peace by trying but NOT trying at the same time! I find when i meditate on the good thing is everyone and everything I feel at peace. But I have to keep reminding myself to to judge and to look for the good- in everything.

It's crazy you know, I used to spend hours trying to get there, if you know what I mean! I think the anorgasmia should pass- with you too. How long have you been on these meds? Anorgasmia can be frustrating, but I have to count my blessings. BTW, did the Viagra work for you? Tried anything else.

Peace to you Jay...you sound very well balanced (and I think most people who have endured mental illness have this capability- they've been through hell, so nothing can phase them too much then!)
