Amineptine (Survector)

Posted by Quarterwit on June 22, 2003, at 20:54:08

Is this drug -- a dopamine agonist (??) -- available anywhere in world. This isn't a request for "underground" pharmacies, I'm just curious if it's still available.

Also, what meds are similar to it? thx

From what I've seen here, it's only available in Brazil. It appears to be useful drug for some, but was considered abusable and caused liver failure in some patients. I've never tried it.

I didn't know about the liver failure thing.

According to a friend of mine whom had obtained amineptine from Brazil for many years, it is no longer being manufactured anywhere in the world for human consumption. It was necessary for her to discontinue amineptine and search for another treatment.

Two dopaminergic drugs that I have had on my list of things to try are mazindol and sibutramine. I used to go to a doctor who liked to combine Parnate with pemoline.
