Hi there. 3 days ago I started taking Lexapro for depression. I have never taken anti-deppressants before and basically just wanted feedback and opinions of this pill. Thanks!

Welcome,
I take it for anxiety and have been since the last week in April. The side effects seem to very so much. Mine have been waking up at night and being sleepy during the day, Also loss of appetite. People have written about sweating, swollen joints, increased anxiety and many others. It general it seems like it takes about eight weeks to get the full effect. May I suggest you go to the top of the page and go back in history week by week and you will find a lot of information. I expect you will get a good many responses to your question. I have started feeling better with my appetite back. Don't hesitate to ask specific questions about any feelings or SE you get. I hope this helps. Take care!! Tim

Yes there is a lot of GOOD info in the previous periods above, and many of the questions you will have were asked befor, along with many good responses. The first 2-3 weeks can be rough w/SE's but they DO GO AWAY. I have been on Lex going on 5 months and have had good results.
Best of Luck~~~8|8
