I've noticed that there doesn't seem to be many people here taking Concerta, but, I will ask anyway. I am planning on drinking alcohol tonight and am wondering what effect it might have on me? I have taken ritalin before and from what I can remember, drank alcohol with it maybe once or twice..I don't recall anything terrible happening to me...this was about 5 years ago. I guess I will just take it slow and see how it goes. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey, I was on Concerta 18mg for years. I drank like a fish, no problems. As far as I know, Ritalin's mode of action is not altered or not altered in a harmful way by alcohol. Mmmm... stimulants + downers...........

Hmmm....strange thing, the mixture seemed to slow the effect of alcohol!! I drank more than I normally do, but didn't get near as drunk!! And this morning, the hangover feeling is there, but it's not too bad! Of course, I don't plan to make a habit of drinking on top of my meds, but I was surprised with the outcome!
