Cosis,
I was on Nardil and the positive effects were wonderful. I, too, thought I could get any girl...my self-esteem rose amazingly high...i thought I could do anything. I felt great. I even stopped sweating...my social anxiety was clearly cured.
I had some pretty terrible side effects, though.
Sometimes, I would almost pass out and/or would lose my hearing for a few seconds after standing up.
In addition to having erectile problems that Viagra always cured, I would never reach climax. I also think that Nardil may have damaged my memory and, even though i felt extremely confident, i never felt that the confidence was real. I felt that the pill was causing a small degree of mania in me. (though it felt great)
What are your side effects from Nardil?

> What are your side effects from Nardil?Hi There
My side-effects were
-anorgasmia (went away after 4 mos. although it takes longer to reach orgasm than previous, I am able too though...Maybe I won't be called the 30 second man)
-weight gain (worst s/e)
-increased appetite (carb/sweet foods)
-dizziness (only occasionally now)
-fatigue (about 2-3x a week I get tried in the evening and kind of zone out - try to drink a glass of coke or cup of coffee)Pretty much those being the worse of the s/e's...
I understand about what you say of confidence not being real but when you had very little before, real or not I will take it :)
Social Anxiety is so much worse than dealing with the side/effects
During my brief stint off Nardil I lost about 10 lbs... now my goal is to closely monitor any weight gain and eat extremely healthy and fight the carb cravings.....

When I was on the Nardil for 2 years, I worried that the side-effects would cause permanent damage. I stopped taking the Nardil around December and January, when there was a manufacturing "backlog" and my life has been nothing but worry and fear ever since.
I think I agree with you that the side-effects are easier to deal with than the anxiety. I am seriously considering going back on it.
Is it readily available at the pharmacies again?

Just ringing in here - almost 5 weeks on Nardil and loving it! I have noticed a slight decrease in brighting of mood after about week 3 1/2, anyone else notice this or can give me some insight? Although I have almost no social phobia which is a absolutely wonderful! Glad to hear you're all doing well/better. Take care.
