Hey,
I've been coming off Zoloft, first I tapered for 5 days, and now haven't taken any for 2 days.
One thing I've noticed, that may or may not be related, is that I am peeing a LOT. I am feeling really thirsty.
Could this be related? If not, it may be due to changes I'm making in my eating habits.
But it is truly annoying to have to go EVERY time the opportunity presents itself. :D

Hi Bookgurl,
I think that you may want to have your blood sugar checked as you exhibit some symptoms of possible diabetes. This is especially relevent to those with weight problems and sweet tooths. I'm not trying to upset you but this is out of concern. Best of luck..

Hey Bobby,
thanks for the heads up. i'm seeing the dr. tomorrow and will mention it.
but, luckily, i have had my blood sugar tested recently and it was fine.
the peeing is a little better today. maybe it's just one of those things you can't explain.

Hey,
My dr. had me do a couple of blood tests and urine test today. He had me wait in the office for the results to the first blood test. My blood sugar was fine. Yay. :D I hope the other results turn out good too.
Something that really hit me was that the dr. pointed out all these risk factors I have for diabetes. (recent weight gain -- thx ZOLFOT, family history, being hypothyroid, being hispanic). It makes me really want to take control of my eating and exercise. So it's motivational to go in, even if the thirst is from AD withdrawal.

I have the same problem at 250mg. of Lamictal. Urine test tapes are negative for sugar and keytones. My pdoc (no pun intended) said this was a normal reaction but I didn't ask him why. I would think things should correct on their own. Best of luck.

thanks for your note.
i noticed that as i restarted serzone, a couple of symptoms i had gotten from zoloft initially (easy bruising, etc.) restarted. so i backed off on the serzone. i'm gonna wait another week. apparently this zoloft stuff is still clearing.
my g.p. had me do test for diabetes, and he's confused as to what's goin' on. he said it _could_ be the psych meds, who knows?
