I took buspar for a year......can't say that it helped me right away, but it did over a time, say two months. I am no longer on it and only take celexa and kolonipin. I do remember I was on the max. does of buspar at the time

I believe it is helping me. I take 10mg morning and evening. I am also on 150mg of zoloft and had been for about 8 weeks and still having anxiety. Since I began the buspar, the anxiety is gone with no side effects. I just don't feel anxious and this is a huge problem for me. I can't be sure if the zoloft is finally working or if it is the buspar. I am going to stay on it for now.
BTW, I added 100mg provigil to the mix, after the buspar started to work, and I feel even better. Seems to counteract the AAD. I don't think it can hurt to give buspar a trial and see how it goes. It is all individual trial and error, but it is great to get some hope from those who are feeling better!

I forgot to add that Buspar is NON ADDITIVE which in the long run is a 'good thing'

Buspar is an excellent med for me: no side effects & it cancels out some of the sexual side effects of antiD's! Good luck. I take 15mg. 2Xday. MIMI

But only in combination with serotonergic drugs, in my experience!
