I was reluctant to say anything until I knew.
But, after a nasty month of Risperidone, went back to pdoc---we dumped that and now I am
taking
Klonopin .25 at bedtime and 12.5 mg in the a.m. along with 150 mg Wellabutrin (ER).It's like night and day. I was surprised that it would work.
It especially came in handy when I watched my husband deploy to Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Just wanted to let ya'll know. It has taken me since November. I think I am lucky.
This is my 5th combo.:)

GREAT! I just want to clarify, though--did you mean to say Klonopin .25 at night and .125 inthe morning?
I also take .25 at night, but none in the am. It makes me drowsy. I don't take Wellbutrin. My pdoc and my therapist think Wellbutrin might be too activating for my anxiety. Plus, the only time I tried it I got tinnitus, although I still wonder if I would have had the tinnitus if I had tried the wellbutrin on its own, and not in combo with Paxil, which is what I was taking at that time.
It is good that you found a combo that works. Isn't that an incredible relief?
How is your husband doing? Have you heard from him?

nah, I took it for a long time. All benzos do that to me. Just how I react to them.

Yes, it's a quarter tab in the a.m.
Sorry it took me so long to reply.
yes, I finally heard from my husband, he is good, thank God. On the move though.
It is such a relief. I thought I would never ever feel some sort of calm.
But I AM SO SCARED that it will stop.
I am still having some small ups and downs, but nothing like it was.
And, the bank account is doing well too. That was one of my horrible symptoms: shopping.
ugh.
I am keeping a close eye on triggers and doing other things to help keep myself straight.
Yoga is awesome.
:)

Glad to hear you are beginning to feel some relief--yes, let's hope that the fighting is over.
As for the klonopin--I got mixed up! I do this all the time. I used to take klonopin, but it lasted too long--I took it at night for restless legs due to my other meds (effexor). It worked but then it didn't wear off early enough in the morning. Then I switched to ativan. It is the Ativan that I take now at a quarter mg an hour or two before bed. When really anxious or agitated, I take half a mg. but that is rare. The reason I'm clarifying this is that I think the klonopin was a bit less intense in sedating me right away, the way the ativan is. So I think I probably took half a mg of klonopin rather than a quarter. Sorry for the mix up. But I think if I had to tak a benzo during the day, klonopin would be better than ativan for me--I could stay awake!
Glad the combo is working for you. Also glad to hear you are curbing the shopping from getting out of control! I know the urge. Save it for a great homecoming party for your husband!
Be well.
