I was on Atkins for the past year, and the year before that a combination of the Zone and Atkins and I still did not lose any weight. I didn't feel as hungry but I actually gained two pounds for each of those years. Weight Watchers worked when I did that years ago with ADs combined with exercise. Atkins mentions in his book the problem of resistance with those folks on certain meds such as ads. It worked when I did this back in the 70's and I wasn't on any ads.

i tried the atkins diet for about 4 months and only lost 6 lbs, plus all my skin dried up and my hair got brittle. now im just trying to cut down on carbs - but not ALL carbs, i think as women, we need some of the fatty oils or 'good fats' and some complex carbs to keep our skin and other elements that make us feel beautiful - IMO
