I am completely new to Lexapro or for that matter any drugs of this sort. I was recently diagnosed with GAD and just took my first 1/2 pill yesterday. I have been reading on the message boards about all the side effects of Lexapro and I am wondering when they kick in? Is this something that happens immediately or do you get different side-effects over time or are they usually constistent from first dose? Help me please. My first dose last night only caused a weird hot flash sensation in my chest about 3 hours after I took it and it was a little hard getting out of bed today. What else could I be in store for?
