Hahahahahaha This is embarrassing, but I'm sure there's someone on here that has had problems like this.
I've been on Zyprexa & Klonopin for 2 weeks (bipolar II/cyclothymic, ADD, social anxiety). It's helped so much mentally but my tummy isn't happy.
I just bought some Gas X (simethicone) and generic anti-diarrheal, but I don't know if that's good for me to take every day. I was at the doctor today and I completely forgot to ask. My head blanks out when I am anxious!
Any suggestions?

hahahahah I hear you, I had the same problem before, but it may have been because I ate a lot of fiber the day before *blushing too* This may make you laugh.....*embarrassed as heck* but, since I started Lamictal and especially went up a notch on, I had bad gas, not to mention bm's were stanky!! Ya know, I had to say this, because it may help someone who would rather not share???? May I ask you though, are you getting pain? I can relate to tummy problems big time. I also take Klonopin, not too gassy though lol
I also take a generic anti-diarrheal on occassion, I wouldn't take it everyday, but it may help ya!
Hope to hear back, All the best,
Kristen:-)

Peppermint oil/fennel oil, are safe and extremely effective.
You can by peppermint soft gel capsules at a health food store, but I think they are overpriced, convenient though.
Buy the essential oils, the combination of the two is the most effective, though either one works. Put a few drops in some honey, or buy empty gelatin capsules and put a few drops of each in one of those.
Many people recommend peppermint tea.
Its not as effective though, as the peppermint needs to go directly to the colon for proper anti-inflammatory anti-gas effect.
The tea can also cause extra acidity to an already upset stomach.
If you're having a horrible day, charcoal capsules can come to the rescue, but they shouldn't be used often as they remove toxins
relieve gas but also remove important vitamins and minerals. Its great in an emergency though.

> hi mind if i bud in here? i'm just curious as to how you manage your ADD as i'm also ADD + bipolarMy psychologist thought that some of the ADD comes from the anxiety... I blank out if I'm anxious, like if I'm in public. I am on Klonopin for anxiety and so it helps with that kind of forgetfulness. Otherwise, I use post it notes and lists a lot.
I still have a lot of bothersome ADD symptoms though, and fatigue.
I just applied to be in a UCLA study for Provigil (Modafinil) to be added on top of my other medications. That med is supposed to help for ADD. If you're in the Los Angeles area, apply for it!!! Here is the link:
