I am taking 50mg of lamictal in the morn and 50 at night. my doctor wants to titrate up to 200mg overall.
i am scared because it is making me sleepy. is this side effect one that gets better over time or is it like paxil sleepiness that never goes?
has anyone had any experience
thanks so much

I don't know how long you've been on 50mg twice a day, but titrating up probably will make you more sleepy for a short time, but it should go away as your body adjusts.

thanks so much for your reply- i was in a bad state but u really gave me hope. since i have suffered near narcolepsy symptoms in the past. and you were so right, the sleepiness fades in a few days after upping the dose. my doc denies that lamitac can produce sleepiness ever- so i was scared. thnx for the reassurance
