What time of day do you find best for taking Abilify? I"ve been taking it at night, like I used to take the Zyprexa it's replacing and have been having lots of trouble sleeping (restless, waking up every hour) and I'm not sure if it's the Abilify or an effect of stopping the Zyprexa.
Any thoughts?

A lot of people have insomnia with Abilify. Try it in the morning.

I am on my fourth day of Abilify. I take it in the morning. I had a fitful night sleeping the first night but have been fine since then. I've also have had no side effects.
Good Luck

My daughter has now been on Abilify for over a month now. She had the same problem, not being able to fall asleep and when she did not being able to get back to sleep.
Unfortunately this is a side effect of Abilify. Perhaps your psdoc could prescribe something for you to help you to sleep. I know my daughter's psdoc did and it is helping some. Good luck

Oh I forgot to share with you on what time is the best time in taking Abilify. My daughter is taking it in the morning around 7:30am. It does help a little in her being able to sleep at night by taking it earlier in the day. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the help - I'll switch to mornings. Glad to know it isn't just me.
