Witch AD meds would you categorize as activating resp. sedative?
I been on zoloft and celexa. Celexa did not get me as upbeat as zoloft did. Zoloft is the drug for me these days. How about efexor and Prozac?

>Zoloft got me upbeat at first but Iended up having to take Depakote and a benzo with the odd dose of zyprexa or Risperidal to keep it from sending me 'sky high'. Celexa did little for any upbeat thing. I've been on effexor for 3 years and take imipramine and a benzo with the odd zyprexa when needed. Again though Efffexor made me really manic at first until I added in the other meds. Hope that does help. Marc.

I found zoloft and prozac similar in how 'stimulating' they are. I haven't tried any other SSRIs.
As for Effexor, I found it a bit more stimulating than zoloft/prozac...I think the norepineprhine effects from Effexor really help in that regard.
