I'm curious if any of you trileptal users out there
experience sexual side effects with trileptal? I'm currently
on topamax and having a terrible time in that arena...apparently
it's a rare side effect, but I got it. I checked out trileptal's
side effect profile and it's not listed (although lowered libido is, but
so is increased libido)....just curious about people's experience.
Topamax effects me big time. It's weird.

I notice an increase in libido with Trileptal. It and lithium are the only two that I've noticed an increase (maybe reduced cortisol?). The others didn't seem to affect it one way or the other. Maybe your Topamax dose is a little high?

No, it's really weird, I noticed it on as little
as 25 mg's...but thanks for your input...really thinking
of trying the trileptal next...hopefully won't have any
problems with it.

> problems with it.Start out low and go slow. It can really nauseate. That is the *only* problem I have with the damn stuff. Others have no problem with that at all, though.
