> ThanksI've found lithium or Depakote to work well for temper problems. I've had varying (and lesser success with others). I'm on low-dose Trileptal now, but I am going to have to wait a while to see if it will help for temper or not (since I replaced depakote with it).

> ThanksI'm BP II with horrible irritable spells. I've tried dozens of meds (including most of the benzo's, which did not do a single thing for me) and the best by far for me is Seroquel. I take 400mg at bedtime and it helps me sleep (and actually wake up feeling refreshed) and controls my irritability throughout the day. All of my coworkers and friends have noticed how much calmer I am, and how I have amazing patience (which I had NONE of before). The best part is that I haven't had a single side effect from this medicine. Of course, your results will vary, but I definitely think that Seroquel is worth a try.
Best of luck to you!

I took a little piece of a 100mg tab back in Sept and it knocked me out. Next day I felt awful it scared me.
My therapist wanted me to try it some more.
She swears by it.
any weight gain from it?
