doing well on Lithium and Fish oil

Posted by linkadge on February 1, 2003, at 20:27:25

I was originally on celexa 10 mg and fish oil 7 grams. I found the fish oil so benefitial I dropped the celexa entirely. I did notice some slight withdrawl but never depressed. For the next few weeks I was just on fish oil. Although not depressed I did notice some extreme anger outbursts. I started the celexa again because of this, and went manic. (I figured that the anger outbursts were a sign of mania and not depression as I was not feeling depressed). The doctor put be on lithium 600 mg, and the celexa was making me agitated so we dropped it all together.

So I am on lithium 600 mg and fish oil 7 g. I notice extreme stability and lack of anger. The funny thing is that I am not having any cognative deficits. I really thing the omega 3 has something to do with this. I havn't felt better in years literally - and its not a hyper happy feeling it's just a good old fashoned quality feeling. I hope it lasts, I will keep you updated

No, I'm taking Jamieson. I live in Canada, and I don't think they have it Jamieson in the states. But here in Canada Jamieson is the most recomented suplement source.

That 7 g of fish oil is the 180/120 variety. So, I am getting about 1260 mg of EPA and 840 mg of DHA.

I have no tremor to speak of, and my cognition seems unimpared.
