Or am I bi-polar II? I have been in this mental health mode for so long I don't even know what a normal mood is. I mean everyone has highs and lows but I seem to make a big deal out of bad days.
The last Therapist labeled me Bi-polar II and I'm so confused now.
I'm on lexapro now and have good days and today was a flat day no interest in anything and just wanted to sleep. I took some xanax and did just that. I seem to monitor my thoughts and feelings all the time. Why can't I just be?
I have no idea if this makes any sense to anyone.
can anyone see anything in what I wrote? Thanks

Hi, you could try mood charting to see if you have discernable patterns to your mood cycling. It really helps to see the patterns because you can see the process as a type of "objective" mechanism going on outside your control. That way you see it as a true medical condition and makes it easier to accept, and you might find yourself "monitoring" yourself less in a casual minute-by-minute basis. Also, mood charting could help *rule out* bipolar disorder. I think Dr. Phelps has a good chart at psycheducation.org.
