Augment NARDIL with anti-OCD ?

Posted by ace on January 27, 2003, at 20:41:22

The antidepressive and ant-phobic effects I'm getting from Nardil are simply amazing.

OCD has been wiped out quite a bit, too. But it is still there (obsessive rumination on 'bad' thoughts mostly)

I've only been on 90mg a week and 4 days. OCD treatment typically needs 12 weeks, 4 at 90mg.
So I'm going to wait.

But in the future, does anyone know of any anti-OCD drug you can safely augment with Nardil? (A lot of this I see that are contraindicated are actually OK -- at least at modest doses)

Anafranil? Zyprexa? Any else?

Forgot something.

In a way I am feeling quite happy that the OCD has escalated only a week and 4 days after starting 90mg.

This is my reason: Every symptom I've been helped with Nardil initially was made worse Nardil. This includes anti-depressive effects (made more unhappy in early stages), motivation (made apathetic in early stages), love for everything in my life (anhedonia in early stages)
Phobic response (felt more scared in early stages) Derealization (made worse in early stages) and OCD (before I recieved the 60mg benifit I've spoke of, 60mg made it worse in the early stages)

I'm feeling very confident that 90mg will wipe it out. It's like a rollor coaster in the early stages of any dose before it levels out.
