I have just been prescribed Abilify. I understand it is only recently available here in the U.S. but am wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with it.

Hi,
I've been taking Abilify for depression for about a month now. It has helped with energy and motivation, and is as effective for depression as risperidone, which I was previously taking. The most common side effects are anxiety (transient usually) and insomnia. I can't say how it works for schizophrenia, but I would expect that your cognitive function would improve.
